Dear Rancho Cucamonga Resident:
Many of you already know me from my past service to the city. In my 54 years as a Rancho Cucamonga resident, I’ve always believed in giving back to my community. Now I find myself in unfamiliar territory – asking for your help to become your councilman in November. I can’t do it
without your help, or without your kind donations that we need to get my message to our voters.
From 1982 through 1994, I served on our City Council and helped develop the original general plan for Rancho Cucamonga, which became the blueprint for the success we now enjoy. I was also instrumental in establishing the first city fire services and growing the assets of the city.
In 1994, I started my own company and put my community building skills to good use in our city and surrounding areas. These are the skills that make me the right candidate for these tough economic times. Partnering in the public and private sector, I’ve helped grow thousands of jobs
and encouraged businesses to both expand and locate new enterprises in Rancho Cucamonga, bringing in millions to our city in new and continuing tax revenue.
During this troubling downturn, I believe my business background and efforts in fostering civic pride will prove invaluable in attracting companies and new jobs to our city, in ensuring that we get our share of public safety and infrastructure funding and in protecting our quality of life. My community outreach extends from fundraising for the Performing Arts Center to helping feed those in need, from bringing professional baseball to our city to establishing a “Field of Dreams” at our Animal Care and Adoption Center to encourage more pet adoptions for those dogs and cats at our animal shelter desperately in need of a forever home. Year in and year out, as a private citizen, I work to make a positive difference in Rancho Cucamonga and also worked to keep residents safe through my previous 16 years of service as a Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy.
I always go where I’m needed and, right now, I believe I can do the most good for Rancho Cucamonga as your councilman. With your support, I will put my business, government and public safety skills to work for our city. I look forward to an opportunity to thank you personally.
Sincerely,
Chuck
Charles “Chuck” Buquet
